Hi, I am Yun-Ting Huang. I graduated from University of the Arts London, majoring in Graphic Design. I come from Taiwan and currently live in Munich, Germany. My paintings are mostly inspired by my family, my friends and people or things around me. When I was a child, my dear mom used to buy me sci-fi comic books. Amazed by the vivid drawings and fascinating stories, I could immerse myself in the world of comics all day long. This childhood experience has influenced my creation. In my illustrations, a mood or a story is conveyed but the interpretation will depend of viewers’ imaginations. On the other hand, colour is also a key element in my paintings. I like to use vibrant colours to reveal a mood or define a scene. For example, in my series of floral paintings, I used bold colours to bring out the spirits of flowers.

In 2009, I had the opportunity to visit orchid nurseries in Taiwan and was inspired to create the miniature orchid series. Fascinated by the orchids' mysterious and delicate character, I attempted to capture orchids’ unique features through modeling clay. I then developed a series of mini floral sculptures and most of them are under 10cm height. In May 2019, it was my honor to be invited to exhibit my mini garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show which is often visited by the Royal family and artists. The concept of this gallery was created to display floral artwork for a non-commercial purpose, and it is one of its exhibitions at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. During the exhibition, my mini garden was visited by over 50,000 attendees.

Art is beautiful and should exist in our life. In recent years, I began to combine my creation with practical items. For instance, one of my paintings, 'The Pink Fish', appeared on a lantern sold at Camden Market in London. As an earth lover, I have developed a series of organic cotton bags, aiming to inspire people with nature and to support eco-friendly products.

我是黃筠婷，來自台灣畢業於英國倫敦藝術大學平面設計學士，目前旅居於德國慕尼黑。我的繪畫靈感大多受到我的家人朋友與周遭人事物的啟發。在我的童年時光，常常沉浸在母親買給我的科漫世界裡，栩栩如生的圖畫與迷人的故事情節也影響我後來的創作。我的繪圖傳達了某種心境或是一則故事，但欣賞我的作品可以大膽發揮您的想像力。此外，色彩也是我的繪畫創作中的重要元素，我喜愛用活潑鮮明的色彩來呈現一種心情或是場景，例如，我在我的花卉系列創作中使用鮮豔明亮的顏色來呈現花卉的靈魂。

在十多年前的一次偶然機會中，我回到台灣參觀蘭花種植場，受到蘭花清雅脫俗的獨特魅力所啟發，開始創作一系列蘭花微型畫作品，也以陶土素材表現蘭花的神秘與高貴感，除此之外，我也創作一系列迷你花卉的雕刻作品(每件雕刻作品高度不超過10公分)。很榮幸在2019年5月獲邀至RHS Chelsea Flower Show展出迷你花園作品，此展覽經常有英國皇室成員與藝術家觀展，當次展覽有超過5萬人次觀賞我的作品。

我認為藝術的美，應該在生活中垂手可得，因此近幾年我開始將藝術創作結合生活日常，譬如，我的畫作「粉紅魚」搭配燈籠製作，並於倫敦肯頓市集(Camdem Market)提供選購，另外支持生態友善產品，我也創作一系列有機棉提袋，藉此分享人類與自然密不可分的關係。
